What is Whey? Whey protein is high quality protein powder from cow’s milk. It is a bodybuilding supplement used by all bodybuilders and it has the highest value of proteins. You can find from 60% to 90% of Whey protein. That means when you will drink 100g of Whey you will get from 60-90g of proteins.

Why use Whey? Muscles need proteins to grow and to become bigger, this is why bodybuilders eat a lot of proteins. You can find proteins in all kind of meet, milk, cheese, cottage, etc… Usually this kind of nutrition products have 10-30% of proteins, so is hard to eat all needed daily proteins just from normal food, really hard. This is why bodybuilders use Whey supplement. Their daily nutrition is around 100-300 g of proteins daily, this is calculated with you weight ( 2g of proteins per 1kg). Bodybuilders usually try to gain 50% of daily proteins value from normal food and 50% from Whey supplement.

How to use Whey? Bodybuilders drink whey with milk or with water. You mix around 40-60 g of Whey powder with 3-4 dcl milk or water and shake it, then you drink it. To be a good bodybuilder then you need to drink whey daily, but most effect gets it after the exercise, this is why bodybuilders drink it before and after exercise. You need to calculate how much proteins you need to eat daily and then drink whey 2-3 a day to gain 50% of that proteins value.

Whey is one of the most used supplements from bodybuilders, it is the best supplement in bodybuilding. You can use it if you are bodybuilders as a hobby or if you are pro. It won’t damage your health or anything else, because it is made only from natural food products. For more info you can always ask Whey providers at shops.

    I’m currently on weight gain and having up to 5 protein shakes a day. It’s definitely hard to get enough protein just eating meat etc so I think protein powder is a must for anyone looking to gain some muscle.

    Protein supplements are good. But I would prefer to go the natural way. I would prefer to get my protein content by eating pulses.

    Whey is best taken before, during, and/or right after working out. That’s when you need to get protein back into your body (along with glycogen). Its a great supplement, but still try to get as much natural protein as you can!

    Whey is essentially proteins! Besides building muscles it is also very good to line your stomach after a bout of loosies.
