SEO versus PPC

SEO is the key to the success of your Blog which has a long lasting traffic, but optimizing your Blog has positive consequences and negative. PPC is pay per click advertising, you pay for traffic on your Blog. Which one is the best to use on your Blog and which one brings the highest traffic? You can’t know that, but it is surely that using both SEO and PPC for traffic is the best thing you can do. Now let see which are the positive and negative consequences using this two methods to increase and brings traffic to your Blog.

PPC - Pay per Click advertising

Positive consequences:

  • fast results - when you create campaign you wait little till new visitors come. So you don’t need to wait months, results, traffic comes in first day
  • great for fast businesses - if you don’t have time to promote something and you need fast results, then PPC is the best way you can promote it
  • you can quit it whenever you want - if you want that your site is closed to PPC visitors you just shut down the campaign
  • traffic comes no mather how quality the site is - this is not SEO, so no mather how good is site and how much content it has and how is optimized you still get traffic
  • you can get traffic on every keyword you choose

Negative consequences:

  • expensive - PPC advertising can get really expensive, especially if you are new to it and you don’t know which keywords to use and you don’t calculate good pay per click value
  • cheating - if you have bad luck you can get cheated, that means visitors on sites click on your advertisement just for fun and for purpose, so you lose money

SEO - Search Engine Optimization traffic

Positive consequences:

  • free - Search Engine traffic is totally free and you don’t need to pay for it
  • purchasing other things - you can purchase other things like banners and not need to pay for SE traffic which will come every day to your site
  • keyword and traffic - you won’t have problems with the number of keywords and number of visitors
  • long time traffic - SEO brings you traffic every day and each year and for whole life if you put content on your site, so this is a long time traffic which is the best
  • nice PPC ads rate - Search Engine traffic is the one who has usually the highest click rate on your ads and brings you highest PPC earnings

Negative consequences:

  • a lot of time - SEO takes a lot of time so the visitors coming from SE come to your site with keywords that you use in content. Usually more than 6 months

    I’m not sure SEO and PPC are comparable as marketing channels, they certainly hit the same target audience but there different creatures
