Last month I had really low CTR, so i read some articles how to improve your Google AdSense CTR. You remember when i posted novaks AdSense colors tips? I think is really helpful if you have low Google AdSense CTR. In this post I will write some tips how to improve your AdSense CTR, after i read a lot of articles on the same topic I will write my own, to help you with AdSense CTR.
Step 1: AdSense Placement
In this post, you can see which ads places get most off the clicks. So CTR of AdSense ads in this places is the highest. Check your Blog theme and find which Ad spot is right for you. Then go to Step 2.
Step 2: Choosing Ad
When you find the right spot for you AdSense ad, go to Google AdSense setup and make new Ad. The best two Ads are Ad unit and Link unit in Ads for content section. Choose one of this two, I prefer using Ad unit in content posts.
Step 3: Setting the right size
Now you need to set the size of each ads, try to choose the right size for you ad. After you choose the right size of your right, then comes the most important step choosing Ad color.
Step 4: Choosing color of the ad
Now you need ask yourself; “Which ads I would click on other sites, and which ads are not so obvious that are ads?”
The best thing to do is making an Ad color that looks like content text or titles. So visitors who don’t know what is AdSense think that it is an normal link and then click on it. So my tip is: Make Ad title and text same color as your content is, usually black. Next thing you need to do is choosing the Ads background. Choose the background color same as the page/content on your blog, and try to delete border color, make them white or same as background, because if the ads border, then it is obvious that it’s an ad.
Step 5: Keywords tracking
When you put AdSense ad in content, then the links will point trough the keywords tracked in your Content. So try to focus on keyword in content and visitors will see more keyword related links on Google AdSense ads. You can help yourself by section targeting, so you can target the section with keyword that is used a lot with this code:
<!-- google_ad_section_start -->
CONTENT WITH RICH KEYWORD
<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
Step 6: Visitors and SEO
Now when you place the Google AdSense ad you just wait that visitors come and click on it. You can help yourself with Wordpress plugin AdSense Deluxe, so you can place on different spots in your content.
The last thing you need to know is that the highest CTR brings you the visitors coming from Search Engines. They are searching right content so if they don’t find the right content on your site, they will search on with Google AdSense ads. So SEO your site as you can, you will see that the best results and CTR brings you visitors from Search Engines. Look in my SEO category and you will see a lot of posts helping you SEO your Blog or site.
